Hydraulic oil selection

The hydraulic fluid used in hydraulic pumps and hydraulic jacks plays a big role in the performance release of the tool. The internal oil of the hydraulic jack of Caente is 45# anti-wear hydraulic oil, which is stable and meets the requirements of the tool.

There are several factors we consider when choosing hydraulic fluid:

1. Suitable viscosity and good viscosity temperature characteristics

Viscosity is the first factor to consider when choosing hydraulic oil, under the same working pressure, the viscosity is too high, the movement resistance of hydraulic components increases, the temperature rises and the self-priming capacity of the hydraulic pump decreases, and the pressure drop and power loss of the pipeline increase. If the viscosity is too low, it will increase the volume loss of the hydraulic pump, increase the leakage in the element, and make the oil film of the sliding parts thin and the bearing capacity decrease.

2. Good lubricity (wear resistance)

The hydraulic system has a large number of moving parts that need to be lubricated to prevent wear on the relative moving surface, especially the system with higher pressure, which requires much higher wear resistance of hydraulic fluid.

3. Good antioxidant resistance

Hydraulic oil will also oxidize during use, the acidic substances produced after the oxidation of hydraulic oil will increase the corrosiveness of metals, and the oil sludge deposit produced will clog the filter and small gaps, so that the hydraulic system does not work properly, so it is required to have good oxidation resistance.

4. Good anti-shear stability

Because the hydraulic oil passes through the pump, valve throttle and gap, it has to withstand severe shear action, resulting in some macromolecular polymers in the oil such as tackifier molecules breaking and becoming small molecules, so that the viscosity is reduced.

5. Good anti-rust and anti-corrosion properties

During the use of hydraulic oil, it is inevitable to come into contact with moisture and air, and the acid produced after oxidation will rust and corrode the metal, affecting the normal operation of the hydraulic system.

6. Good anti-emulsification and hydrolytic stability

During the working process of hydraulic oil, moisture and condensate mixed from different channels are affected by hydraulic pumps and other components.

7. Good foam resistance and air release

In the hydraulic oil tank, because the bubbles mixed into the oil circulate with the oil, it will not only reduce the pressure of the system, the lubrication conditions will deteriorate, but also produce abnormal noise and vibration, in addition, the bubbles also increase the contact area between the oil and the air, accelerate the oxidation of the oil, so the hydraulic oil is required to have good foam resistance and air release.

8. Adaptability to sealing materials

Due to the poor adaptability of hydraulic oil and sealing materials, hydraulic jacks will cause the sealing materials to expand, soften or harden and lose their sealing performance, so hydraulic fluids and sealing materials are required to adapt to each other.
