Due to site constraints in the large-span coal storage yard renovation project at the steel plant, traditional grid structure installation methods could not meet the requirements for project schedule and cost control, and also posed higher safety risks. To address these challenges, a hydraulic synchronized jacking and pushing installation method was adopted. By formulating a detailed construction plan focusing on the technical highlights and challenges of hydraulic synchronous pushing, and by strengthening quality control throughout the process, the installation of the large-span steel grid structure for the coal storage yard was completed smoothly. This approach not only met the project schedule and reduced overall costs, but also lowered safety risks, providing valuable experience for similar future projects.
